Karen Davila was appointed as the first UN Women National Goodwill Ambassador from the Philippines in August 2023. In a highly attended event by government officials, development partners, advocates, and supportive personalities, UN Women Philippines unveiled its Country Programme Priorities for 2024–2028 last January 18, 2024.
